Kilimanjaro 1985
Few people were climbing Kili in the 1980s when it was difficult even to get into Tanzania. With Mountain Madness, we took 16 physicians, nurses, and friends from Philadelphia to the summit on their mission to end poverty in the world, and were alone during nine days on Kilimanjaro. In Mountain Madness legend, the expedition became known as the Philly Kili Hunger Boogie.
